I am an artist who finds much of my inspiration in the natural beauty of New England. A New Hampshire native, I grew up in Nashua, and have been a resident of Goffstown for most of my adult life. After a 36-year career as an art teacher, I enjoy being able to spend more time on my own work.
My main focus currently is on reductive block printing techniques. This process involves the use of one block, and multiple layers of ink. Areas are carved from the block, ink is applied, and then it’s printed. This sequence is repeated for each color layer. A template is used to keep each print in the edition lined up correctly.
Examples of my work in progress can be viewed at justpencilonpaper.blogspot.com, and purchased from my Etsy shop, JGTentas
